Jurgen Klopp says rejoining to manage Liverpool is plausible in theory.
The German coach, who left Liverpool in 2024, remarked that rejoining the club is a possibility. Supportersâ Hopes and Kloppâs Candid Remarks
They secured England's top flight in the previous campaign, yet numerous supporters holding him in high esteem would be thrilled by the notion that he might come back one day. Speaking candidly, he explained to his interviewer: âI stated I will never coach a different club on English soil. So that means in case it's my former club...yes. Theoretically itâs possible.â
âBeing 58, that means I might decide in a few years, I donât know. Must I choose now? In that case, I'd stay away. Luckily, no such pressure exists. I can just see what lies ahead.â
Conditions for a Comeback
Questioned regarding the specific conditions must arise to draw him back to the dugout, he confessed he feels no immediate pull for a comeback. âI donât even know exactly, I love what I do right now,â he commented. âI donât miss coaching; I avoid standing under bad weather for lengthy sessions; I donât miss going to interviews four times, three times a week or having 10-12 interviews each week.
âThe locker room isn't missed in that context, however, dining out alongside the squad having a nice chat, I appreciate that. With many victories meaning regularly a very good mood around the place. Remaining with me is the captain's chuckle in my ear to illustrate.â
Praise for His Successor
Klopp was full of praise regarding Arne Slot, praising him for the tweaks which secured the championship in the previous season. The team has suffered four in a row in all competitions following significant transfers, yet he dismissed the suggestion that it might signal the start of a downward turn.
â[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker like Florian Wirtz, critics will regret if you use the wrong words. An outstanding player. Ekitike, incredible player. They have a strong thoughtfully assembled roster. No need for concern over the club, things will improve.â
Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota
He shared movingly regarding the passing of Diogo Jota, a player he signed in 2020, and the effect on Liverpool. The Portugal international was killed in a vehicle collision with his brother this past summer.
âHow do you replace such an individual? This isn't just regarding the player himself, his personality mattered. I struggle to conceive the squad without him in it. I still cannot speak properly about it. A devastating blow for his teammates too. Nobody at Liverpool would cite it as an excuse though it's a fact. You walk in a dressing room where he was omnipresent. Handling this emotionally is not easy. Overwhelming.â
